Construction Set to Begin on the Madison County Transit New Administration Building

AAIC inc., serving as design consultant for the Madison County Transit District, is providing architectural / engineering services for the New Administration Building. The project is located along Chain of Rocks Road on the north side of the Owner’s current base of operations at 1 Transit Way, Pontoon Beach, Illinois. The 24,000 sq. ft., two-story facility will combine Madison County Transit’s operations staff under one roof and provide a clearly defined area for public access to the facility. The building will provide for a public lobby, board room, administrative offices, and ancillary public / office facilities. A key component is the design of architectural and electronic security elements intended to protect the new site. Engineering consultants include IMEG, Juneau Associates, and Faith Group. S.M. Wilson will be the general contractor on the project. Groundbreaking is scheduled for June with completion of the facility slated for Fall 2023.
